The workshop will discuss early diagnosis and efforts to protect sufferers from unnecessary deterioration in their condition among others.
The workshop will be presented by science committee member Dr. Najeeb Al-Qadi, who is also deputy director of King Faisal’s neurology department, alongside director of King Abdulaziz Medical City’s geriatric department Dr. Hashim Balbeed.
The association’s Deputy Vice President Princess Madawi bint Mohammad said the organization is aiming to present five awareness workshops throughout the year to enable family members and carers to learn the basics in looking after sufferers.
Princess Madawi also said the workshops are part of the association’s strategies to raise awareness in the provinces, adding that six meetings were held in different parts of the Kingdom, with two more on the way.
She said all those affected by the disease one way or the other should attend the workshop.
