Saudi banks allay fears against hackers

Hafiz made the assurance following reports that an Israeli hacker had stolen details of hundreds of credit card accounts from banks in Arab Countries, including in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Syria.
The Israeli hacker, who calls himself Omer Cohen, was identified in a report by the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot as a a soldier in an Israeli intelligence unit.
The report came days after Israeli officials acknowledged that several thousands of credit card accounts have been compromised following an attack by a group of Saudi hacker calling  themselves group-xp.
The group claimed to have gained access to 400,000 Israeli credit card accounts. Israeli authorities said 15,000 accounts were hacked.
