The four-day event will be an exciting gathering of experts who will exchange the latest scientific advances in the field of rheumatology, said Dr. Hussein Halabi, president of the Pan Arab Association for Rheumatic Diseases and head of the event organizing committee.
Halabi, a noted Saudi rheumatologist and head of the department of rheumatism at Jeddah King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, said the conference with a slogan of “Innovation, Education and Evidence” will discuss more than 80 working papers at some 40 lecture sessions, led by the most diverse and talented people in rheumatology from the Arab and Western countries.
They include specialists from the United States, Canada, Australia, Morocco, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria in addition to some European countries as well as from the Kingdom. According to Halabi, the conference will feature state-of–the-art lectures, panel discussions and interactive workshops.
In addition, there will be a comprehensive exhibition of the latest products related to rheumatology on the sidelines of the conference.
Emphasizing that rheumatic diseases are one of the most frequent causes of physical disability among adults, Halabi said the conference would contribute to the continued international exchange of the latest findings in this field.
PARC also aims to promote, stimulate and support the research, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of rheumatic diseases, he added.
