The latest figure is an increase of 387.5 percent from SR8.8 million posted in the third quarter, according to a statement from the group.
SRMG said the group's gross profit during the fourth quarter amounted to SR102 million compared to SR79.1 million for the same period of the previous year, representing a rise of 29 percent.
Profit from main operations during the fourth quarter reached SR31.9 million compared to SR26.7 million during the same period of the previous year, representing an increase of 19.5 percent.
The statement said the group's net profit in 2011 increased 18.8 percent to SR100.3 million from SR84.4 million during the same period in the previous year.
Earnings per share during the 12 months amounted to SR1.3 against SR1.1 for the same period of the previous year.
Gross profit during the 12 months amounted to SR353.8 million, compared to SR332.1 million for the same period of the previous year, registering a rise of 6.5 percent, the statement said.
Income from main operations during the 12 months amounted to SR104.9 million against SR103.5 million for the same period of the previous year. This is an increase of 1.4 percent.
According to the statement, the reasons for the profit growth in 2011 are: 5.6 percent growth in the advertisement revenues of SRMG publications compared to the previous year, the significant growth in the revenue of the education sector. It achieved a growth rate of 35.4 percent from the previous year.
The increase in the net profit in the fourth quarter of the year is also attributed exceptional revenue from the sales of SRMG share in the investment in the Gulf Digital Media Co. which registered a capital gain of SR13.5 million for the group.
