The Saudi General Intelligence chief Prince Muqrin was also among the Saudi dignitaries attending the ceremony.
Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa opened the three-day event. The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and the ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoom and Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Along with King Hamad and other dignitaries, Prince Fahd, who is also chairman of the board of directors of Saudi Arabian Airlines, visited the pavilions of aviation companies that are taking part in the show. He also watched the spectacular air show that was held on the sidelines of the opening ceremony.
Prince Fahd and Prince Muqrin attended a dinner hosted in their honor by Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Abdulmohsin bin Fahd Al-Marek. The dinner was also attended by Bahrain Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa, Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, commander in chief of the Bahrain defense force, and several other senior officials.
Earlier upon arrival in Manama, Prince Fahd was received by Bahrain Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs Undersecretary Capt. Abdul Rahman Al-Qaud and the Saudi Ambassador Al-Marek.
