The team has bolstered its image by defeating England in the test series, the ambassador said, adding the enthusiasm and jubilation shown by the Pakistani community after the team’s victory was extraordinary.
Khan said he received congratulatory messages from the high commissioners of Commonwealth countries and UAE dignitaries over the team’s fabulous performance.
The ambassador commended the team spirit demonstrated by all the players and especially paid tribute to Abdur Rahman, Mohammad Hafiz, Saeed Ajmal and captain Misbahul Haq for their outstanding performance.
Responding to a question, the ambassador said there is a possibility of an India-Pakistan cricket match in the near future. He said he and the Indian ambassador had already sent their recommendations.
