Al-Daweesh, was addressing the 11th Arab Telecommunications and Internet Forum which concluded in Beirut over the weekend, under the auspices of STC Group, in the presence of Lebanese Minister of Communications Nichola Sahnawi and his Saudi counterpart Mohammed bin Jameel Ahmed Mullah, minister of communications and IT, and Secretary General of the International Telecom-munications Union Hamdoun Toure.
Communications and Informatics technology play a significant role to interconnect the main hubs of an economy, thus contributing to growth and creation of more jobs in a number of areas in various economic sectors.
Having a better environment for doing business in both industrial and service sectors helps a lot to give a push, too, notably if supported by communication networks, locally and regionally speaking.
"That was a conclusion we reached by studying the ranks of competitiveness of the countries concerned to the development of telecommunications and informatics technology," Al-Daweesh said, in addition to what was proved by recently released studies on how using technology leads to canceling an old-fashioned job and creating three more-advanced ones.
Al-Daweesh expected that a chain reaction of changes will occur in the dynamics of socio-economic activities around the world, as a result of a host of factors such as the improvement of the broadband speeds, its related services and the Internet technology.
