Tadawul rises to 21-month high

Kingdom Holding, including other 17 companies, also hit 52-week high on Wednesday. Samba Financial Group and Arab National Bank were in the green territory for 8 consecutive days by closing at SR50.00 (+3.09 percent) and at SR29.6 (+0.68 percent) respectively.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) closed at 6,797.09 points, up 0.79 percent, its highest closing level since May 8, 2010. All sectors closed in green accept Telecom and Building & Construction. Multi-Investment sector index added considerable 90.08 points (2.72 percent), and Banking & investment (1.53 percent) follow by Transportation sector gain a percentage of 1.49 percent.
Out of 149 stocks traded Wednesday, 86 were up and 41 were down while 22 remained unchanged.
Value of traded share was SR7.75 billion, 7.08 percent lower than Tuesday’s trading. Total volume of shares was about 354.77 million, 5.41 percent increase compared to the previous day. The 50-day average for trading volume was closer to 302.8 million shares.
Takween and Trade Union posted the largest losses amongst TASI equities, down 5.13 percent and 4.08 percent respectively.
Alinma Bank topped the volume and value chart on the Saudi Stock market with a turnover of SR612 million. Its trading volume reached to 57.3 million shares.
Jarir Marketing Company announced its audited yearly consolidated net profit of SR513 million, an increase of 28 percent as compared to the previous year. It also approved distributing of cash dividends amounted to SR96 million for 4th quarter 2011, bringing the total distribution of cash dividends for fiscal year 2011 to SR7.00 per share (70 percent of company's paid-up capital).
