He said the program highlighted the partnership between the Ministry of Education and the King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for the Gifted.
“It encouraged secondary and intermediate school students to make scientific innovations,” Owaida said while addressing the concluding session.
During the event, 37 boys presented their research papers while 41 girls presented scientific innovations.
Khaled Al-Waseedi, assistant director general of education in the province, expressed his admiration of the children’s works. “The program has achieved a number of objectives and displaying the various skills and capabilities of children,” he added.
Outstanding performers during the event received prizes and certificates of merit. Innovative works that won appreciation included a safe car by Hazim Abdul Aziz and Muhammad Al-Zahoufi, smart toilet for the visually impaired by Ammar Omar, and an innovative driving school by Ibrahim Fakhri.
