The initiative was jointly supported by Microsoft Saudi Technology Clubs, a technical community for students to share knowledge, participate in tech-events and enhance their skills.
This community is run by Microsoft Student Partners in Saudi Arabia and it is open for everyone to join.
The event got started with the college representative talking about the evolution of college from Batterjee Medical College to Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology in the last five years.
The technology part of the college is not just a mere label.
In fact, it is an integral part of college’s philosophy for a conductive academic environment.
Currently, the technology is being used as a learning, assessment, information and lab solution in the form of dental simulation lab, -3D cyber anatomy lab, online testing, learning management system and e-library.
Later, technical sessions were delivered on Windows Azure, Windows Phone, Microsoft Opportunities in academic proficiency for university graduates and Web technology by official spokespersons of Microsoft as well as student representatives of Microsoft from Effat University and King Abdul Aziz University.
A question-answer session followed and the conference signed off with special surprise prizes for participants through a draw and a souvenir for college dean Khaled Batterjee for supporting the mega event.
