STC pointed out that the technical sponsorship falls in line with backing functions and forums held in Saudi Arabia, which interacts with both local and world interests. STC is used to patronize various functions and initiatives of significance, in addition to backing a lot of otherwise social and awareness dissemination activities, which benefit all societal segments.
A fully equipped center to provide high speed online service at the venue of the conference was established by STC for participants’ use as well as other up-to-date technologies.
The conference aimed to realize a number of themes among which are introducing the Shariah-compatible concept of Halal food, approval of its definition and understanding the different main technical and economic features of Halal foods and to promote cooperation and coordination between various governmental and regulatory bodies in the domain of foodstuffs.
