The Bahrain Air flights will depart from Bahrain at 9:25 p.m. and arrive in Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on the following morning at 4:15 daily.
The return flight will depart Thiruvananthapuram at 5 a.m. and arrive at Bahrain International Airport at 7:30 a.m. “Flights have been scheduled for onward connections to other GCC and Levant destinations,” said Bahrain Air CEO Richard Nuttall.
Sounding upbeat about the new service, Nuttall said: “We look forward in boosting our route network to the Indian Subcontinent. Our customers have been telling us that they want Thiruvananthapuram in our network for many months now.
This is another step in our route expansion process this year. We have several other destinations in mind, and these will be announced as and when market conditions and approvals allow.”
“The strategy of Bahrain Air, which operates a number of flights between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, is to develop as a regional carrier within the GCC, Indian Subcontinent and Levant regions,” said Syed Taqiuddin Ahmed, general manager (GSA) of Safari Travel Group. Ahmed added that Bahrain Air now provides most of the services of a full service carrier, with affordable fares. “Bahrain is an excellent choice for the passenger who does not want to compromise on service, but wants value for his money,” said Ahmed.
“The new Bahrain Air service will be more important keeping in view the large number of people from Kerala working in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain,” he said, adding that the Kerala capital is a tourist hotspot for both domestic and international tourists.
