The jury included Chris from South Africa, world champion in Red Bull Street Style 2008 in Brazil; Ahmed Rosy, head of Youth Federation in Western Region; Siraj Sanad, a Saudi fashion designer; and Saudi international footballer Mohamad Ameen Hayder.
Al-Theeb was chosen the winner based on the skills he demonstrated with the ball through 30 seconds, before he passed the ball on to his competitor. The two players exchanged the show for 3 minutes before the jury decided on the winner.
In the 2010 Cape Town event, Anders (Azun) Solum from Norway upset France’s Arnaud (Sean) Garnier, who had won the inaugural World Final in 2008 in Sao Paulo (Brazil). Solum won over a star-studded jury that included three-time Africa footballer of the year George Weah and was presented the trophy by Edgar Davids, the Dutch football legend. The battle for the finals will be held in Italy in which Al-Theeb will compete for the world title with other international competitors.
Red Bull Street Style is a global competition for football freestylers who show their skills by doing incredible tricks and movements with the ball.
