The PMU has already signed agreements with a few Chinese institutions, including the prestigious Beijing Institute of Technology for the exchange programs in the field of information technology.
Al-Ansari stressed the need for steps that will boost such partnerships through joint organization of annual conferences and seminars.
“The visit, intended to hold an array of meetings, would define the key purpose of the PMU as far as its global role to impart latest academic initiatives beyond the border of Saudi Arabia is concerned,” he said.
The visit was planned with a view to extending cooperation from the PMU to these Asian nations with which partnerships were proposed to excel in academic fields. “It will strengthen relations as collaborations with the institutions of higher learning globally are to explore modern academic trends,” said Al-Ansari.
The PMU has always taken steps to invite the world’s topmost educational institutions for tie-ups since its foundation.
