Speaking at the Jeddah Economic Forum, the governor said the incubator would help young Saudi men and women implement their projects by providing them with logistical and information support.
Prince Khaled commended Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for his support for constructive initiatives of citizens, especially youths.
He also noted Crown Prince Naif’s efforts to reinforce peace and stability in the country. He urged everybody to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). “Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has set a good example for us. If we follow his teachings we’ll surely attain the first world position,” he added.
After watching a number of Saudi youths making presentations of their new business ventures, Prince Khaled said he was ready to support their projects and provide them with a legal framework.
“These young men and women who presented their business initiatives are the best example for Saudi youths. I take this opportunity to invite them to become partners of Makkah province’s development,” Prince Khaled said. Prince Khaled urged young entrepreneurs to make use of modern technology. “Saudi Arabia does not fear Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. We should make use of their positive benefits,” he told youths.
During the session, Abdullah Dahlan of the College of Business Administration, said his institution was ready to host the business incubator.
Prince Khaled spent about 75 minutes talking to youths and hearing their views and aspirations.
JCCI Chairman Saleh Kamel thanked the governor for attending the forum and leading a lively discussion with youths.
The projects presented by youths during the session included those providing part-time jobs for young men and women, an environmental awareness project and a health awareness project.
