Al-Hamid opened the forum on behalf of Dr. Qasim Al-Qasabi, chief executive officer of KFSH&RC, in the presence of French Ambassador Bertrand Besensenot, Dr. Sultan Al-Sedairy executive director of Research Center in KFSH&RC, and a group of French and Saudi clinicians and researchers.
Al-Hamid also pointed out the importance of unifying international research and medical experiences to combat this disease and find appropriate treatment.
The forum thanked the hospital, the efforts of French ambassador and the efforts of the Saudi Embassy in France as well as the French Embassy in the Kingdom for their support of scientific communication and exchange between the two communities.
Dr. Fadia El-Bitar, wife of the Saudi ambassador to France and Alzheimer's disease researcher at KFSH&RC in Riyadh, was thanked for her supervision of the organization of this forum and for giving a lecture that presented the latest results of her scientific research in this area.
Clinicians and researchers in KFSH&RC too thanked the hospital administration, led by Dr. Al-Qasabi, for the continued support to host scientific conferences and forums and the constant mission to provide the right conditions for all to develop and progress.
This forum comes as part of the interest and encouragement of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Naif for scientific research in general and Alzheimer's disease research in particular and the interest of the Saudi leadership to diversify and set up exchange of experience in scientific research with friendly countries such as France.
