“Arab countries are passing through a delicate situation which required maximum concerted efforts to achieve the aspirations of our people and providing them security, stability and prosperity,” Crown prince said in his message.
The conference was opened by Tunisian President Moncef Al-Marzouki in the Tunisian city of Hammamet yesterday.
“The Kingdom, through the calls of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, has been demanding a halt to the bloodshed since the crisis began,” the crown prince said.
“We all wish Syria lasting stability and prosperity. We want Syria in the forefront as usual in all that concerns Arabs. We pray to Allah to guide it to the right bath and reconciliation,” Prince Ahmad said.
Prince Ahmad said the interior ministers agreed to adopt a general strategy for joint Arab security in order to fight organized crime, terrorism and drugs.
The council discussed a number of issues and took decisions on them. The council approved an Arab security draft plan, Arab media draft plan for security awareness and crime prevention and a draft plan for implementing Arab strategy for traffic safety.
