Prince Sultan bin Salman attended a dinner hosted in his honor by the festival’s organizing committee. He also participated in a traditional Ardha dance staged by the Saudi artists who came to take part in the festival.
Saudi Arabia’s Hail Province is the chief guest of honor at the festival, which started on March 21 and will end tomorrow.
SCTA participates in the event with a Saudi tent, and its associated tools and divisions, in addition to the fully decorated camel caravans, and falcon hunting show. There will also be a photo exhibition of the Desert Festival. The Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information is also participating in the event with a folk band presenting the colorful desert lifestyle and organizing a poetry show.
The Kingdom’s delegation attending the festival also included a number of members of the Tourist Development Council in the Hail region. Mubarak bin Freih bin Salama, executive director of the SCTA Hail branch, said that their visit comes within the framework of exchange of experiences in terms of heritage industry events between the two countries. Hail province is seeking to benefit from the Tan Tan Moussem festival, which is classified by UNESCO as one of the masterpieces of vocal and intangible heritage.
