Sri Lankan Consul General Adambawa Uthumalebbe, President of the Expatriates Society Rafeek, and School Chairman Shahul Hameed Salih were also present.
“We wish this will be the best school in the community. It was essential to have the science lab, so the students can develop themselves. The Sri Lankan government and embassy are taking an interest in the development of Sri Lankan schools in Riyadh and Jeddah, so the future generations who are living here will take full part in the development of Sri Lanka, which is not possible without quality education,” the minister said.
The Sri Lankan ambassador emphasized on the unity of the community, parents and teachers for the better future of the Sri Lankan students and school.
“This lab will serve the children and provide excellent opportunities in their educational progress and development. The students can only derive quality education if the management of the school and parents come together. Without unity there will be no progress, so parents should support the management, the principal, and the teachers to take the school to new heights,” he said.
“Science is a key to future discoveries. Having this lab was a long overdue requirement, and I am sure children will use this not only to improve their knowledge, but also to make use of the knowledge to improve the world,” he added.
The consul general also said that the school was passing a milestone. He assured the Sri Lankan Embassy and government would always be supporting it in every way. He said not only the name of the school would improve, but also its standard of education. He also praised the efforts of the school’s chairman, Shahul Hameed Salih, and Principal Majazya Mubarak.
“I wish this lab will produce many doctors, engineers, and scientist and have a positive use at large,” said Majaziya Mubarak.
Shahul Hameed Salih assured that with the opening of this science lab, they wanted to make sure the school would be equipped fully to facilitate A-level students.
“We want to be the best school in the community and region. We also want to have links with the education minister in Sri Lanka, so our students will be part of the country’s development,” said Salih.
