Women’s welfare organization helping in Makkah urban development projects

Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Khudairi, deputy governor of Makkah province, received a delegation from Ektefaa women’s welfare organization and Al-Balad Al-Ameen, the development arm of Makkah municipality, with the report of a field survey on real estate in Jabal Al-Shrashaf and Nakasa area in Makkah.
The aim of presenting the field survey report to the deputy governor was to help in the sustainable development of slum areas in Makkah by identifying the social and economic conditions of the citizens and residents of the area.
Juhra Al-Anqari, president of the society, said the target was to develop a housing project with 21,535 houses for the residents in Jabal Al-Shrashaf and Nakasa area with all facilities needed.
She also said that for this job of statistics, studies, reports and outputs, 121 women researchers and development planners had worked to play an active and influential role in the community.
“We, the Ektefaa society, invest in the power of our women and give them confidence in the development of our country. This way, the Saudi women are doing their share of social responsibility towards their country and nation,” said Al-Anqari.
Raida Binladan, the secretary general of Ektefaa society and supervisor of the field study, said the survey had been completed in record time according to the plan. The survey provided sufficient information on the conditions of the residents of the area and will help in the comprehensive development plan for the region.
