PNS Alamgir is on a goodwill-cum-training cruise. PNS Alamgir is named after Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir, who was the sixth Muslim ruler of the great Mogul Empire in the Indian subcontinent.
The ship is equipped with state-of-the-art combat management system, torpedoes and missiles. Capt. Naveed Ashraf is commanding officer of the ship. He will pay call on various dignitaries of the Royal Saudi Naval Force Navy including Western Fleet Commander Jeddah and Commander RSNF Base Jeddah. Also the visiting crew of the ship will visit different institutions of the RSNF Navy. PNS Alamgir would also hold a naval exercise with RSNF ship.
