The translation of the meaning of the Holy Qur’an to English is now being distributed to rooms in Alkhobar five-star hotels. This opens a new path for guests to understand the culture of Saudi Arabia when they visit Alkhobar while doing business in the most attractive city in the Eastern Province.
The book will introduce the fact that Muslims share with Christians the love and respect of the Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) who contributed to the righteousness of humanity.
Guests will also be able to read more about the stories of other prophets and messengers sent by Almighty God to guide humanity such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them).
Tariq Qais, one of the volunteers who brought this project to reality, said: “The Qur’an mentions the story of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, and a surah (chapter) in the Holy Book is named after her. No other woman in history is mentioned by name in The Qur’an except the mother of Jesus. We have many women who ask us about what the Qur’an say about the mother of Jesus.”
In Islam, the belief is that all prophets and messengers submitted to the will of God, and they never claimed divinity. Tariq said: “The problem humanity faces is associating a created entity with the Creator in regards of worship and deeds.”
According to Tariq, God will never forgive such a thing as He said in the Qur’an: "Surely, Allah does not forgive that a partner is ascribed to Him, and He forgives anything short of that for whomsoever He wills. Whoever ascribes a partner to Allah commits a terrible sin." (chapter 4: verse 48)
Academics consider the Qur’an to be the record of the words revealed by the Almighty God and spoken by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). No one claims to have a book or books that contain literal words of God except the people who recite the Holy Qur’an.
All academic books use citation to reference claims being made, and the Qur’an has citation that goes back more than 1400 years. Qur'an we read today is cited by either verbal memorization of several generations who kept the Arabic language alive for centuries in the Middle East, or in written documents.
For example, the Othman manuscript of the Qur’an preserved in Tashkent, the Topkapi manuscript of the Qur'an exhibited in Istanbul, and the Yemeni parchments of the Qur’an found in 1972.
The Qur'an as the final revelation to humanity still stands the test of time. Having an authentic book recited for more than 1432 years is by no comparison a "One Occurrence Experience."
