During the seminar, which was attended by Princess Norah bint Mohammad, chairwoman of Herfah association, Fakeih underlined the importance of working from home to provide job opportunities. He said the ministry would strive to remove obstacles women encountered in working from home.
The minister noted this kind of work had many positive aspects, for example, women working from home would be near their children. At the same time they bolstered family finances. This did not, however, lessen the importance of women who work outside the home as doctors, teachers and a nurses.
The seminar brought together specialists in developmental and family work from public and private sectors. During the seminar, 22 worksheets giving guidelines to working from home were presented to the participants who were interested in financing and organizing an arrangement where they work from home.
The seminar covered a wide range of topics, including challenges and regulations, how to initiate licenses and controlling business activity.
One of the topics discussed was the obstacles and problems this kind of work may face in the future and aspects of the training and marketing to make it viable.
The assistant deputy labor minister for development Fahad Al Tkheifi and other officials attended the seminar.
