Public–private partnership in youth welfare stressed

Several prominent figures, including business leaders, economists, social scientists and sports personalities participated in the forum organized by the Saudi Law Training Center in cooperation with the presidency.
The speakers of the forum included Mike Farnan, chairman of the Charity Foundation for Sunderland Football Club, Flavio Faree, chairman of the Charity Foundation for AC Milan Club, and Frank Devy, CEO of Capita Symonds.
In his keynote speech, Prince Nawaf underscored the significance of partnerships between the public and private sectors in serving the youth.
“The presidency strives to achieve balanced growth of the younger generation in all spheres of life, and all these must be based on the fundamentals of the Islamic teachings,” he said.
Mike Farnan and Flavio Faree spoke about the social responsibility of sports clubs and companies while the speech of Frank Devy focused on the role of sports institutions in developing undeveloped cities as well as in fighting poverty, creating job opportunities and attracting investment.
Prince Nawaf bin Faisal presented a memento to Fawzi Al-Mosali, director of administrative affairs at the Saudi Research & Publishing Co. (SRPC), which was the sponsor of the event.
