Online support for parents of special kids

The governor launched the society’s website during the reception, which was also attended by the society’s board members in addition to some parents.
Speaking on the occasion, Prince Khaled appreciated the society’s outstanding contributions in supporting the disabled children and their guardians. He urged the public to support the society’s activities
Princess Latifa thanked the governor for his support for the society to enable it to fulfill its humanitarian and social responsibilities toward the families of the people with special needs.
She also briefed Prince Khaled on the society’s main objectives that include extending social and moral support to guardians of the children with special needs and carrying out programs and activities aimed at making the public aware about the need to support this section of the society.
Also yesterday Prince Khaled received the president and board members of the Makkah-based Al-Birr Charity Society. 
The governor was briefed on various programs and activities of the society.
 It was disclosed on the occasion that the society has plans to carry out at least 22 programs at present and in future.
These include extending soft loans, conducting training programs for the couples, supporting productive families, awarding the Al-Birr prize for excellence in supporting orphans, special financing for the scientific chair at Umm Al-Qura University, imparting the culture of voluntary work, holding international conferences on pioneering experiments in charity works and organizing training courses in developing skills in science and media fields.
