American charged in death of Saudi student

JEDDAH: An American man has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a Saudi student at Wichita State University.
Isaiah Copridge was also charged with aggravated robbery in the death of Rayan Ibrahim Baba, who was shot on Aug. 8 in a parking lot of one of the university’s dormitories. Copridge’s bond was set at $200,000 at his first appearance on Friday.
Copridge and Eboni Fingal were arrested the day after Baba was shot. Fingal was charged in October with first-degree murder and aggravated robbery. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 7.
Copridge was rearrested on Thursday. His preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 17. He is being represented by a public defender.
Baba was studying electrical engineering and got to know the two accused, whom he agreed to meet at the Fairmont Towers square the day he died.
