RIYADH: The Reuters new agency commended on its recent issue the positive interaction shown by officials in the Kingdom with the increasing number of Saudis using social media.
The news agency confirmed that Twitter has become one of the most important channels of communication in the Kingdom, and that a large number of officials have turned to the social media giant.

“This will establish a strong and coherent close relation between the government and the people.”
The number of Saudis who participated in the ongoing debates on Twitter over the “Saudi Vision 2030” stands at more than 190,000, with the number of messages on the topic reaching more than 860,000, according to surveys conducted by Semiocast.
This means that 46 percent of Twitter users, estimated by 7.4 million users, were involved in the discussions.
