ABHA: A Border Guards officer in Dhahran has been given an extraordinary promotion by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif for bravely fighting the Houthi militia.
Cpl. Awad Dawi Jabir Al-Otaibi was hit by shrapnel while defending the border. It took him two months to recover and he went back to his post soon after discharge from hospital.
Col. Khamis Al-Dhahrani informed Al-Otaibi of his promotion and passed on to him the royal greetings.
Al-Otaibi said he will always be honored to have the chance to defend the Kingdom.
