RIYADH: The Saudi economy will not be adversely affected by any act of terror under the wise leadership of the country and its security forces, the head of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) said Sunday.

While denouncing the unprovoked attacks on Monday that targeted Madinah, CSC head Abdulrahman Al-Zamil said that such acts will only make us stronger and will not affect the economic and political stability of our country.
“The Saudi business sector strongly condemns the terrorist attacks that took place in Madinah near the Prophet’s Mosque, Jeddah and Qatif during the holy month of Ramadan,” Al-Zamil said.
“These heinous acts of terror, which seek to undermine the safety and security of the Two Holy Mosques, are doomed to failure thanks to the awareness and unity of the Saudi people,” he added.
He stressed that the terrorists are trying to destabilize the community, but added that they will not succeed as the people stand behind the wise leadership of the country and his security personnel.
He added: “It was a cowardly act and will not deter the Saudi people. It will not shake the morale of the homeland, which has seen outstanding achievements across the country in recent times.”
Lauding the role of security officers in the defense of the nation, he pointed out that the security personnel involved in combating terrorism in the kingdom have spared no effort in the fight against these criminal organizations and isolated groups indulging in acts of terror.
He also pointed out that the stability and security enjoyed by the Kingdom works to attract investment and encourages project development in the country for all sectors.
He concluded by noting that the private sector stands united behind the leadership of the country, represented by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as well as the security services.
