AL-AFLAJ: A Saudi woman has not been successful in receiving a national identity, which she requires to activate the Absher system, and asked the media to save her from the suffering she is experiencing.
She called upon the relevant authorities and officials at the Ministry of Civil Affairs to solve her problem, which has been ongoing for almost a year.
She told “Ajel” that she applied for a national identity card and headed to the agency in Riyadh.
After reviewing the case, they found that her father has amended his name, and that some of her siblings had benefited from the attached amendment on page 100.
This citizen indicated that they reviewed the Directory of Civil Affairs to modify the surname, and they asked to archive her father’s file, who turned out to be in Al-Ahsa.
“After six months, we again contacted Civil Affairs, thinking that the problem was over, but to no avail,” and they again asked her to review with the Directory of Civil Affairs, but she found out that there was no prior request, and that the file was missing, she explained.
They asked her to apply again for a national identity and wait for several months.
She confirmed that her husband filed a complaint three times by e-mail, and the last response was “Dear customer, work is in progress on the complaint. We are honored to serve you and accept our greetings in the Customer Care Agency and the Ministry of Civil Affairs Center.”
That was on June 22, 2016.
She added that she received a call two weeks ago, where the employee asked her for a review to finish the previous application.
“We traveled from Al-Aflaj to review them but we found that the file was archived and that the problem still exists and the call was inaccurate,” she added.
The citizen pointed out that after a review with Civil Affairs, they confirmed that there was no any electronic correspondence, where it is always concerned with archiving, and that her father’s file had been archived for a while.
