Most of the people who find Hindi an alien language often muddle gender while trying to converse in Hindi. Learning the facet of gender in Hindi grammar is usually one of the trickiest steps in getting the grasp of the language.
R Balki, who has titled his upcoming Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor-starrer as ‘Ki and Ka’, sought inspiration from this plight. As per the grapevine this is what prompted him to take the endings of the Hindi term for a girl (ladki) and boy (ladka) for the title.
With everything we’ve been hearing about ‘Ki and Ka’ shows that it is surely going to be the hottest summer release of 2016. The film plot has been revealed and it promises to be an unconventional rom-com that deals with gender stereotypes, following the relationship between an ambitious corporate head (Kareena) and a devoted stay-at-home husband (Arjun). Though the casting director Shruti Mahajan reveals that the movie is a complete laugh riot.
Kareena, who is known for her comic timing, has admitted that this is one of her most challenging roles and thinks that people will remember it for years to come. Choti Begum has also reinvented her look for the film with auburn tresses and chic urban clothing. Director Balki is known for experimenting different looks for his films, remember Amitabh Bachchan’s look in ‘Paa’ ?
’Ki and Ka’ also features Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan and they are all set to reunite on the silver screen after almost 14 years. And they will be filmed in their own Juhu home, Jalsa. Nevertheless, their blink and miss role will give the film a flying start and we bet!
