Oman Air has selected Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems for a long-term agreement to be the maintenance provider for the APS2300 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) on its existing fleet of 5 Embraer 175 series aircraft. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.
The APS2300 APU is currently on board more than 800 Embraer 170/190 aircraft around the world and is operated by more than 70 customers since its introduction into service in 2004.

Established in 1993, Oman Air has experienced significant growth and has played a major role in making Muscat, its headquarters, the Middle East's important traffic hub. The airline currently operates direct international flights from Muscat to 43 destinations across the Middle East, Europe, East Africa and Asia.
The APS2300 APU is designed and produced by Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems, based in San Diego, Calif.
With 2011 revenues of $6.2 billion, Hamilton Sundstrand is headquartered in Windsor Locks, Conn. It is among the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products.
