Pakistan International School Jeddah, (Al-Aziziyah) beat Indian International School Jeddah to enter the final of the under-19 Johnson Control Inter-Schools Cricket tournament organized by the WPCA and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center.
In the first semifinal, IISJ won the toss, batted first and put up 136 on board from their stipulated overs. Ahmed (49) and Hassam (30) were the top scorers. Mohammed Ali bagged 3 for 23.
In response PISJ (Al-Aziziyah) achieved their required target off 18 overs.
Hisham of PISJ (Al-Aziziyah) scored an unbeaten 39 runs and was later judged Man of the Match.
The second semifinal between Al Wadi International School and Pakistan International School Jeddah (English Section) was a one-sided, which the Pakistanis won by 148 runs.
Al-Wadi won the toss and invited PISJ-ES to bat. The Pakistani school scored 212 off their stipulated overs. Captain Furqan led from the front and scored a quick-fire 82 runs off 30 balls. He was ably supported by Anas who got 41 runs. Habib (22), Abdul Rehman (19) and Salman (14) were also among the runs.
In response, Al-Wadi collapsed for 62 runs. Saleh Ahmed did most of the damage as he claimed 5 for 11. Khurram took 2 wickets.
