Panasonic’s palm-sized mirrorless cameras with interchangeable lenses offer increased creativity to photographers.
All Lumix G lenses are specially designed for use with digital Micro Four Thirds sensors to achieve their full potential, while providing great advantages in terms of the size, weight and compactness of the total system.
Developed by Panasonic in cooperation with leading photographic engineers, the Micro Four Thirds standard system gives users the opportunity to explore their creativity with a range of compact Lumix G lenses which employ innovative technologies such as a retractable design, a Power Zoom, and a Nano Surface Coating that further improves the image quality and usability.
Lumix G Micro System users can enjoy a vast lens lineup (14 available + 2 announced), extending from 7mm wide-angle to 300mm Tele zoom lenses. Special lenses like 3D and Fisheye, are also available.
“Great Lenses make for great photography, and Panasonic cameras offer some of the best options for consumers looking to take stunning pictures with ease. Superb image quality is determined not by the size of the image sensor, but by the combination of lens, sensor and engine. The Lumix G Micro System achieves this combination at an extremely high level, which is why its image quality is so highly valued,” said Hitesh Ojha, deputy general manager -digital imaging.
Users can also take stunning pictures with the new ultra compact electronic power zoom lenses, which are the first from the premium lens brand, ‘X’ for Lumix G.
These new breed of high quality zoom lenses are based on the Micro Four Thirds System standard and their focal lengths complement each other perfectly for quality wide angle, portrait and landscape shots.
The compact, lightweight and high-performance Lumix G lenses comply with the Micro Four Thirds System, an interchangeable lens camera system that was designed and developed to optimize the characteristics of digital technology.
It carefully preserves the image quality of the 4/3-type image sensor, while reducing the size of the camera body and, in particular, the size of wide-angle lenses.
