Penecilla, Solomon grab limelight in Etihad Airways Tuesday League

Johnny Penecilla of SABB Advance and Cecille Solomon of Habagat grabbed the Bowler of the Week honors in week 16 of the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR)-Etihad Airways Tuesday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
Penecilla bowled a 4-game series of 920 with Solomon rolling a series of 785 to achieve the feat in Group 1 and Group 2 respectively.
In the team event NBA pocketed its 6th Team of the Week awards with a lopsided win over Vinnell Arabia 22-8, stretching its lead in the team standings from the rest of the pack. Rated bowler Ronald Bautista top-scored for NBA with a series of 897, with support from FernieBallano (874) Joe Garrido (864), Mike Ecalnir (864), and Earld De Vera (685).
In other matches, Habagat struggled but won over cellar dweller Dabarkads 15-12, SACO Bolt clobbered Lane Cruisers 17-7, Mandirigma crushed Pin Hitters 21 -8, Unica zapped the thrill out of Thrill Seekers with a one-sided win 21-8, defending champion Kamahalan strengthened its hold of the second spot in the standings with an 18-11 win over SABB and Ayaw Na won over Pin Pals 18-2.
Ronald Bautista still leads in the MVP race in Group 1 with an average of 219.36 followed by Arnold Jesena (217.0) and AndroTismo(213.07). In the Group 2 MVP race, Penecilla now leads with an average of 203 followed by FathiAbdulaziz (188.68) and Erwin Nacario (185.07).
