The perfect burger at Square Meater

Square Meater is a newly opened burger restaurant that earned its reputation in no time. It is known among Jeddawis for it’s perfect burgers and dips.
The restaurant is located in the courtyard at Bin Suliman Center, on the intersection of Prince Sultan Street and Rawdah Street. It’s situated between the Italian restaurant Margarita and Semsom the Lebanese restaurant.
The restaurant is designed on two levels, singles on the ground floor and the family section on the second floor. The singles section can seat almost 18 diners at once in their square shaped white tables or on their burger bar with high black stools.
The singles section has a modern American diners atmosphere and design. One of the walls carries pictures by the talented Saudi artist Khalid Zahid. The family section can cater for up to 22 diners at once in their cozy leather seats and plastic stools and a side bar with stools.
The restaurant is a non-smoking area, which allows diners to enjoy their food and smell the fresh buns without the distraction of cigarette smoke. Their music is one of the things that cannot be missed; Saudi DJ Mesheal Alireza produces it.
The restaurant has an in-house bakery that produces buns and deserts. They also have their own butchery that offers fresh Black Angus beef brought especially to Square Meater from the US.
Their menu is simple and clear. They offer five basic burgers with the same patty but different sauces and toppings. The restaurant is very proud of their dips; they offer their diners a variety of dips that is especially made from their kitchen, using secret fresh herbs and ingredients. Their spices are known to be natural with not one artificial item mixed in.
Their starters are tempting and the Mozzarella Squares are highly recommended. The order comes with four square shaped mozzarella coated with a mixture of breadcrumbs and herbs and is served with a special thousand island sauce made with their secret ingredient.
As for the burgers, the Shroomz Melt is one of the best sellers; it comes with melted Swiss cheese and fresh chopped mushrooms topped with their special sauce. It comes with a side of fries and coleslaw — a cabbage salad.
For those who like it spicy, the Heater burger is their answer. It is made with special jalapeño sauce to ensure spiciness and sizzle mixed together.
The Cheese Meater is another bestseller and is the classic original Square Meater style. This burger reminded of me of my travels to the States back in the nineties.
For those who like extra meat in their burger, the Crispy Bacon is highly recommended; it is made with a special sauce and extra crunchy beef bacon in every bite.
What I liked about their burgers is that they are juicy and easy to bite into. Portions are reasonable and the taste is just heavenly. I believe their burgers are fulfilling without feeling full and guilty.
The restaurant also offers salads, which are served in small bowls so one does not lose their appetite before the burger comes. There is the traditional Caesar Salad, the House Salad and more.
The drinks menu offers home made ice tea, milk shakes and sodas. I highly recommend the special shake, which is made with Oreo cookies and vanilla ice cream. It tasted amazing and it is surprisingly light you won’t feel full or heavy.
The best part of the meal always comes at the end. Square Meater offers their diners a mouthwatering variety of desserts. The Apple Crumble is made with thin crust pie, stuffed with warm apple mixed with cinnamon and topped with vanilla ice cream. The Chocolate Chip Cookie is a large size, perfect for sharing and topped with vanilla ice cream. Their Fudge Brownie is a tasty combination of a brownie, fudge cake and chocolate fondue, it is very soft and melts in your mouth and is also topped with vanilla ice cream.
