Perfetto, Kwality run streak to 3 games; IBN-SINA tastes victory

The deadly duo of Teddy Jamahali and Jay Liam kept Perfetto unbeaten, leading the team to an 84-69 victory over Al-Majduoie in the 2012 Perfetto Basketball Tournament organized by Industrial Sports Association (ISA) at Industrial City Dawa Office (ICDO) court in Industrial City Phase I on the outskirts of Jeddah.
The veteran Jamahali hitting daring fastbreak layups despites his size finished the night with 27 points while Liam added 18 for Perfetto which was threatened only when the enemy overhauled its lead to take a 40-38 spread at the turn.
The Majduoie trio of Capas, Canas and Bacangoy was responsible for their team’s revival only for Jamahali to check the progress with 7 points with teammates Liam and Datuin each making 5 markers to put Perfetto back in charge at the end of the third quarter 62-58.
Despite great defense applied by Majdouie in the final quarter Perfetto was unfazed and went on to score its third staight triumph.
The former ISA MVP Lober Batioco struck again, leading all scorers with 30 points as Kwality brought down Musrefa 106-71.
In the first quarter, Kwality boys had seven players scoring while Musrefa only had four and the period ended 16-8 to Kwality.
After the first half the score was 42-29 that swelled to 73-47 in the third period thanks mainly to Batioco and Pacla.
It was the third straight victory for Kwality which also received 18 points from De Guzman and 10 from Aquino.
IBN-SINACollege Hospital finaly tasted victory in the tournament by beating B-Cola 56-50 in a low-scoring game.
IBN relied on its good passing skills and a team effort to get the better of B-Cola.
Green Vision beat SPS 66-60. Vargas was the Best Player of the game with 17 points.
Elsewhere, PSI won a tense match against Luna II 87-86 and the chosen Best Player was Camit with 27 points.
