The young budding artists of Pakistan International School Jeddah (English Section) put up an impressive Rainbow Show at the school premises yesterday. The little falcons and daffodils beautifully dressed in multihued and sparkling colors spellbound the audience and their parents by displaying their skills and talents. They expressed the joys of childhood through their adorable actions and electrifying performances.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
School Principal and Pakistan’s Senator Sehar Kamran spoke about the significance of “Rainbow Show” that it is one of the most colorful events of the school.
“I am sure that the innocent, cute and charming actions will touch your hearts and soul. I hope you will be highly inspired by the mesmerizing performance of our little angels. It is not an easy job to train and coach these little kids and make them perform so well.”
She said the teachers deserve appreciation for the way they discover students’ talents and groom them.
She said at PISJ learning has an integrated value. “It is basic part of our educational program to teach, educate, help in personality building and instill confidence. Our objective is to expand and improve child’s abilities and facilitate learning with fun,” Sehar Kamran added.
The program started with performance on the song, “Jump the Line," where YR-1 students reflected the history of amazingly diverse country Brazil followed by the YN-3 students performance on “I am Live," based on the theme of forests and birds.
Y2-6 students gave a taste of glamor world where they walked on the studded red carpet as superstars and models in the song, “watch me," whereas Y1-3 students seemed to deliver the message of teamwork in the song, “We are all in this together.”
YR-5 students performed on the song, “Technology.” YN-7 students embarked on underwater discovery as scuba divers in the song, “Underwater discovery.”
Y2-1 students took the audience to a wondrous ride in the space world. YR-7 students expressed themselves as what they wanted to become when they grow up in the song, “When I grow up.” Y1-8 students were determined to eradicate pollution and performed on, “We can’t back down.”
Y2-11 students performed on the theme of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s friendship attiring traditional clothes and Y2-8 students gave a spectacular performance on “Hall of Fame,” which was based on the theme of patriotism where each student expressed desire to become a successful professional representing their country and making the world acknowledge their talents.
The other performances included: Jump up, Party Rock, What are dreams made of, Color Kids, Puppet on the string, Going the zoo, Walk the dinosaur, Batchi Batchi, Living in a rainbow and cooking by the hook.
The program, which was a team effort of the dedicated staff members, faculty, devoted students and their supportive parents, ended successfully.
