Police uncovered an illegal international phone call center being run by three Burmese at an apartment in the Kilo 14 neighborhood of of south Jeddah.
Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq, Jeddah police spokesman, said a police patrol chanced upon two men coming out of the apartment late one evening and questioned them for acting suspiciously. The cops then called for backups and raided the site and arrested a third suspect.
The security men seized 7 phone device, specialized servers to pass remote calls, a computer and a communication Parameter founded inside the room.
The culprits were handed over to the Al-Motnazhat police station.
Al-Bouq said that Jeddah police arrested 3 expats in their 30s and 40s who were operating a center for remote calls illegally at a room in Kilo 14 neighborhood, and they will be referred to the competent authorities after completing the investigations.
