RIYADH: Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, received here Tuesday evening a number of princes; commanders of security sectors; undersecretaries and senior officials of the Ministry of Interior, who congratulated him on his appointment as Minister of Interior.
The meeting was attended by Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs; and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Salem.
Addressing the audience, Prince Ahmad praised Allah Almighty for bestowing upon this country the blessings of security and safety and bestowing upon the Kingdom the wise leadership of the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince.
He said, 'All people in this country are brothers cooperating together, believing in Allah Almighty, following Prophet's Sunnah, and obeying the Leadership.'
The Prince noted that all nations and peoples seek security as there is no development, no work, no comfort, and no preservation of lives and properties without stability and security.
The Minister of Interior added, 'You are all civilians and military servicemen, men of security and thousands of people in the Kingdom stand behind you, calling for exerting more efforts in the service of the homeland and its citizens.'
Prince Ahmad said, 'We know that we have a great responsibility which is the preservation of security and stability in this country. We have no motives against anyone. We are in the service of citizens and residents to be secure and stable. Regulations should be applied to everyone without negligence; so we say to anyone who wants to repent that the door is open.'
