The Ministry of Social Affairs’ social security department met with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Center for Small and Medium Businesses to work on developing, supporting and encouraging programs involving productive families.
The two sides discussed the importance of fulfilling those goals as part of the government's plan to help productive families’ businesses by issuing necessary licenses and promoting their products online and in bazaars.
The meeting recommended a joint committee between the center and the department to suggest ways to develop productive families' businesses.
The meeting also discussed ways to set up a mechanism to develop businesses.
Chairman of the Riyadh Center for Small and Medium Businesses Khalaf Al-Shammary said: “The upcoming projects of the center will focus on unifying the efforts of concerned bodies to develop, support and direct entrepreneurs of both genders and provide new job opportunities.”
Director of small projects at the social security department Abdul Hakkem Al-Malki confirmed his department aimed to determine the roles of concerned bodies to develop productive families’ businesses, (working from home) and coordinate support for these business owners.
Al-Malki reviewed the programs offered by the department for beneficiaries, requesting the center’s cooperation to build a joint mechanism to develop productive families’ businesses.
