Public security forum aims to benefit from latest technology

Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs Prince Muhammad bin Naif will attend the Second Forum on Total Quality for Public Security in Jeddah on July 13 to 15.
More than 1,500 specialists and researchers in public and private sectors related to security inside and outside the Kingdom will participate in the event hosted by Jeddah’s Security Patrols Administration.
Thirty speakers will read papers in the forum, the Saudi Press Agency reported yesterday.
Director General of Public Security Gen. Saeed Al-Qahtani said: “We will strive in the forum to achieve harmony between knowledge and quality.” The forum also aims to discuss different modern trends and developments related to the concept of knowledge and quality and their link to public security, Al-Qahtani said.
He also stressed the importance of the forum as an opportunity to establish communication between various experts in the area worldwide. He said the forum will help raise the level of efficiency and performance of security officials.
Director of the General Administration of Security Patrols in the Kingdom Brig. Abdul Aziz Al-Hoshan said the forum aims to benefit from the latest technology in the fields of security administration and related areas. He said: “The advanced technological infrastructure includes networks linking between public security and all administrative offices across the Kingdom besides training the work force.” He added the forum would help spread the concept and methods of quality in security while serving citizens, expatriates and pilgrims.
The major topics of discussion in the forum include the culture of comprehensive quality, institutional excellence, importance of public security, modern applications for comprehensive quality in the public security sector, and international specifications in the area of security and the traffic movement.
