The Royal Commission in Yanbu participated in a career day and exhibition organized recently by the Saudi Embassy in Washington.
Alaa Naseef, executive president of the commission, said his organization’s participation was in response to the directive of Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayyan, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, to attract and provide jobs to young qualified Saudi men and women graduates who have completed their higher studies in US universities, including those under Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s scholarship program.
The commission sent two specialist working teams with the objective of recruiting qualified Saudis to fill various positions at the commission. The team members included Ahmad Dabroom, director general of faculties and institutes, and Dr. Nabeeh Bajunaid, neurology and marrow consultant at the commission’s medical center.
Naseef said there was a pavilion for the commission at the exhibition. It showcased various development phases of the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu. Documentary films were shown and booklets distributed with the objective of introducing the commission’s mission and activities. He said the Saudi government is keen to give utmost importance to developing the talents and skills of Saudi youths and make job opportunities available to enable them to earn a decent living.
“The commission aims to invest in the capabilities and skills of young men and women through their specialized courses and higher degrees,” he added.
