The Saudi Red Crescent Authority will stop transferring all emergency cases to private health institutions effective next month.
The authority said the strain of the service is too large for its emergency teams to handle. They receive numerous calls from more than 3,000 medical facilities. This burdens the emergency services, Red Crescent said.
The Ministry of Health issued an announcement to Health Affairs Directorates across the Kingdom to make any necessary arrangements.
