Mouhideb A. Al-Mouhideb, chairman of the board of directors of the Royal Center for Insurance Training & Consulting in Dubai, recently attended the convocation of its second batch of graduates who hold the fellowship certificate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in the UK.
Al-Mouhideb thanked Fareed Lutfi, secretary-general of UAE Insurance Society, and Hussein Al-Ajami, deputy director general and president of Insurance Studies Center at Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance Studies, for their continuous support to the center.
He expressed his happiness over the graduation of 28 students from different Arab countries.
“Ever since its inception, our center has been providing world-class training in cooperation with outstanding regional and international institutions,” he said.
Al-Mouhideb said the center was instrumental in supplying qualified insurance personnel required by the UAE and other countries.
“We have conducted more than 150 training programs that benefited more than 400 trainees,” he said, adding that 100 of them have obtained diplomas from the British institute.
He said 60 graduates of the center had obtained diplomas in life and health insurance from the Institute of LOMA in the US while 47 received highest professional certificates from BCII.
Al-Mouhideb described the Saudi insurance market as the largest in the Arab world and disclosed plans to open the center’s branches in the Kingdom.
There are more than 100 licensed insurance companies in Saudi Arabia.
