SABB Open Golf Tournament tees off tomorrow

RIYADH: The 2012 SABB Open Golf Tournament, the annual event golfers look forward to participate, will be held at Dirab Golf & Country Club tomorrow.
A permanent fixture on the club’s calendar of events, the tournament attracted more than 120 entries to tee it up shotgun-style at 8 a.m.
The 18-hole individual stroke play format competition will have three handicap categories for men and one for ladies, according to DGCC Golf Manager Bouchaib El Jadiani.
In addition to the great prizes up for grabs registered players will each receive a goody bag of Cutter & Buck shirt, cap, golf balls and customized SABB Golf Club head cover.
In keeping with tradition Dirab will host the Kingdom Amateur Tournament being sponsored by Saudi Oger Ltd. for the fourth straight time two weeks after the SABB event on Dec. 5-7.
Tomorrow’s tournament will serve as the final tuneup game for the members of the Saudi national team that will participate in the 2012 Pan Arab Golf Championship in Bahrain Nov. 26-28.
Yesterday, national team standouts Faisal Salhab and Abdulrahamn Almansour played a practice round for the SABB Open.
