Bahrain: The Bahraini Minister of Interior said its anti terrorism squads defused bomb weighing 2-kilogram bomb placed at King Fahd Causeway on Thursday, said Bahrain News Agency (BNA.) Other sources reported the traffic flow on the bridge was not disrupted.
General Tariq Hasan Al-Hasan, Chief of Public Security, said policeman Muhammad Asef died Thursday before reaching the hospital after he was a target of a terrorist attack. The officer was hit by an incendiary projectile in the area of Sehla, where the martyr and other policemen were performing their duty of securing roads and protecting public and private properties when groups of terrorists attacked them with Molotov explosives in addition to the incendiary projectile that killed Asef. General Al-Hassan said investigations to brought perpetrators of the terrorist attack to justice are underway.
