Prince Muhammad bin Saud, former governor of Baha province, died yesterday, the Royal Court announced. He was 73. Funeral prayer for the late prince would be held at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah issued a royal decree in August 2010 relieving Prince Muhammad from his duty as Baha governor on his request.
Born in 1939, Prince Muhammad was appointed commander of royal guards in 1953 and minister of defense in 1960. He served as Baha governor from 1986 to 2010.
