Survey to list shortcomings of hospitals

Adel Fakeih, acting Health Minister, has given directions to form a research team of Saudi and Swedish experts to look into the problems of hospitals and health centers across the Kingdom, sources said.
The research team will consist of the Saudi firm ERAMS and the Swedish Veriday. The male and female researchers will conduct field visits to hospitals and health centers across the country to survey the work force and take feedback from patients and visitors on the services offered to them at these facilities.
The visits will last over a period of 10 days starting Monday. The team members will do rounds of the different sections of hospitals.
The move stems from the keenness of the health minister to obtain accurate information on hospitals and health care centers. With this view, he has given permission to the team to take photographs, do video screening and prepare questionnaires.
