Asian held for stealing quarter million cash

An Asian expatriate who made off with nearly a quarter of a million riyals in cash in Jeddah has been caught by the police.
The spokesman for Makkah police said in a statement Thursday: “We received a complaint from a leading global constructional company in Sharafiyah that someone had broken its safe and stolen SR240,000.”
The accused confessed to his crime and the Criminal Investigation Department has begun examining the case. The police are also conducting a probe.

As part of a tweet to congratulate the Saudi nation, the king said that he is looking forward to a “more beautiful” future.
He also thanked God for security and stability in the Kingdom.
Earlier, the King addressed the 75th UN General Assembly where he said that the Kingdom has chosen the “path of the future” through its Vision 2030 and called for peaceful coexistence and solidarity between countries.
